Q: What carpet cleaning system do you use?
A: Generally we use a hot water extraction system to clean carpets. This involves the application of water mixed with exact measures of professional industry leading detergents. This system is extremely thorough. Water temperatures can be completely controlled to fit the specification of carpet, and the machine will heat up to steam if required.
Some carpets such as Belgian Wilton's require dry cleaning. Water would shrink them. Instead we use a rotary scrub brush and absorbent pad with dry cleaning solvents.
When it comes to rugs variations of the previous to systems can be used. Some rugs, such as Chinese rugs can be cleaned using water extraction. Many others such as Persian & Middle-eastern rugs usually need to be hand dry cleaned, once again using solvents.
As you would expect all carpets and rugs are inspected thoroughly prior to cleaning so that the best choice can be made with regard to which system will be used. Dye testing with rugs is an important factor - this also will be tested prior to cleaning.
